Do you
like the outdoors? Would you like to pursue a career where
your “lab” is the tidal marshes of the San Francisco Bay or
the mixed coniferous forests of the Northern Sierras? When
you attend this bird identification workshop with women
ornithologists from PRBO Conservation Science, you will
learn one of the first steps in becoming an ornithologist,
or bird scientist. One of the greatest things about studying
birds is that they are outside! They are also found
everywhere in the world, they’re beautiful, and most
importantly they often hold key answers to the questions we
have about changes that are rapidly occurring in our
environment.
