Career Field – Finance
Always broke? Want to be able to buy that favorite pair of
jeans? Or start saving for college?
In this workshop we will look at ways to successfully set up
and stick to a budget. We will look at how much money it
takes to buy clothes, go to the movies, or have a cell
phone.
We will also discuss how you can apply what you learn in
this class to a career in business finance. If you like math
and numbers – finance may be the career for you!
Leader – Mary Meuchel
Mary Meuchel has a B.S. in Business Finance and Management
from CSU Sacramento. She is a financial analyst at Agilent
Technologies, Inc. Mary loves to swim, hike, waterski and
spend time with her husband and two sons.
Co-Leader - Elena Lamanna
Originally from Rome, Italy,
Elena Lamanna has a multi-cultural background. She studied
Latin and Greek in high school, and attended university in
Rome where she obtained her master’s degree in economics and
business finance. She has worked in Milan as a conference
manager for an important Italian newspaper, in Barcelona as
an operations manager, and in Palo Alto, Ca as a global
project and program manager for Agilent Technologies. Elena
has been blessed with a new baby boy each year from
2005-2007, and these little blessings are currently her
focus. She also loves the opera, traveling, reading,
cooking, organizing parties and dinners, hiking, skiing, and
painting.
